Experience the rich local community, known for its meditation gardens, yoga, artisans and healers. Immerse yourself in some of the many activities that can connect your senses to nature - such as paddle boarding or surfing, sound bowl healing, or even walking with goats in the nearby canyons. For foodies, Encinitas boasts plenty of celebrity chef restaurants, vegan cuisine, micro Kombucha and beer breweries as well as wineries.
Owner and designer Anke Bodack built the retreat based on the twelve human senses, established by 19th C architect and philosopher Rudolf Steiner.

When you stay at Twelve Senses Retreat, a nominal nightly community impact fee of $1 will go to Changing Tides Foundation through Kind Traveler’s Every Stay Give Back program. Twelve Senses Retreat will match donations for every $1 donated and 100% of donations go to the charity.
